About The Position
Barry Apartments, located in Palatka, Florida has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Housekeeper. Chosen applicant will be responsible and accountable for the daily cleaning, sanitary of all common areas, and provide a welcoming environment for the residents, vendors and visitors. This person will work with the Lead Maintenance to assist in the cleaning of renovated apartments. Possesses a genuine interest in caring for and serving older adults while participating as a team player. Physical Requirements: This position demands good physical and mental health Must be able to walk/ for periods of time, and use the stairs Able to lift, carry and or move up to 25 pounds
Requirements
- General understanding of the needs of the elderly
- High School Diploma, with 2 or more years’ experience in property housekeeping
- Must have reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to clear the Criminal Background Check
- Attendance and satisfactory completion of Protecting God’s Children Workshop
Responsibilities
- Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, carpet cleaners and polishers, etc.
- Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition throughout the building, to include washing, cleaning and replacement of air fresheners and furnishings.
- Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
- Ability to plan and schedule for major tasks
- Damp mop all corridor floors, lobby, dining areas, and others daily.
- Clean all common areas, to include bathrooms on A-Wing
- Report any needed repairs immediately to maintenance/office
