About The Position

Under general supervision, the Custodian performs housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and other areas in campus buildings.

Requirements

Ability to use common cleaning tools and lightweight vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers.
Ability to follow a work schedule, work safely, and lift or move lightweight objects.
Ability to read and/or follow simple directions or signs and simple verbal and/or written instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Clean, sweep, mop, dust, and scrub tile work, floors, stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, locker rooms, and building lobbies.
Clean, dust, and polish furniture and equipment.
Wash and polish drinking fountains.
Clean and maintain restrooms.
Empty waste baskets and trash boxes.
Wax and polish floors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
