About The Position
Auburn University Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated and dependable Custodian to help create clean, safe, and welcoming environments for students, employees, and visitors across campus. The role maintains the appearance and functionality of university facilities by performing cleaning tasks such as mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, dusting, and disposing of trash. The custodian also maintains cleaning equipment and supplies, may assist with building inspections to identify custodial needs, and may help arrange tables and chairs for special events.
Requirements
- Level I: Ability to read and write.
- Level II: Ability to read and two years of experience in custodial floor care techniques.
Responsibilities
- Clean University buildings to ensure facilities are in suitable condition for activities, including mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, dusting, and disposing of trash.
- Maintain equipment and supplies needed to complete tasks.
- Assist with building inspections to determine whether custodial care is needed.
- Assist with arranging tables and chairs for special events.
