About The Position

The custodial staff member maintains a clean and safe environment at the assigned location to support the well-being of students, faculty, CNM staff, and community members. The role primarily involves routine custodial work to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the designated area. The employee must comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, and OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear when required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Previous custodial experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, office suites, common spaces, lunch areas, and break areas.
Empty trash and recycling containers.
Wash window sills, walls, doors, and furniture; clean whiteboards and trays.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, walkways, and stairways.
Perform floor-care duties, including stripping, waxing, sealing, and buffing floors; spot-clean and shampoo carpets.
Respond to special moving, clean-up, or set-up requests as assigned by the Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
Respond to emergency spill clean-up requests.
Report repairs to the Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
Perform other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, and OSHA standards, and wear required personal protective gear.
