About The Position

The custodial staff member maintains a clean and safe environment at the assigned location to support the well-being of students, faculty, CNM staff, and community members. The role primarily involves routine custodial work to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in the designated area. The position is identified as West Side, night shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, office suites, common spaces, lunch areas, and break areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers; wash window sills, walls, doors, and furniture; clean whiteboards and trays; and vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, walkways, and stairways.
• Perform floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, sealing, and buffing floors; spot-clean and shampoo carpets.
• Respond to special moving, cleanup, or setup requests assigned by the Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Respond to emergency spill cleanup requests.
• Report repairs to the Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Perform other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
• Comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, and OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear when required.
