About The Position

The Custodian cleans and maintains public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms. The position maintains assigned areas, removes trash and debris, handles property cleanup that may include biochemical material, and stocks linen supplies. The custodian also loads and unloads linen carts and provides preventative care for equipment and supplies. Other duties may be assigned by management. The scheduled shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods for the majority of the shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and pick up and remove trash and debris.
• Clean up property areas, including biochemical material.
• Stock linen supplies in linen closets.
• Load and unload linen carts.
• Ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
