About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for cleaning a workspace, warehouse, or similar area. Duties are performed throughout the day or at regular intervals. The position reports to a supervisor or manager and works under moderate supervision, using a moderate understanding of general cleaning procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to work under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean wood, linoleum, tile, and other floors.
• Shampoo rugs and carpets.
• Empty trash cans.
• Change air filters and clean vents.
• Dust all surfaces.
• Wax floors.
• Inform purchasing about cleaning supplies needed.
• Wash windows.
• Maintain a thorough inventory.
• Use commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Collect and take out trash and recycling.
