About The Position
ICMS is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Custodian to support a federal client in Miami, Florida. This is a 100% onsite, full-time union position at a Federal Government facility, represented by Teamsters Local 769. The Custodian maintains cleanliness and order in facility work areas, restrooms, common areas, offices and administrative areas, detention cells, conference rooms, elevators, and lobbies and visitor areas. The role includes cleaning and maintaining floors, removing refuse, dusting, polishing fixtures, supplying materials, and performing minor maintenance services. Experience with flooring restoration is a plus. The position pays $24.68 per hour, with Health and Welfare benefits of up to $1,550 per month. Overtime compensation is available if required.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to arrive on time for shifts.
- Basic cleaning skills and ability to work with cleaning materials used for disinfection, such as industrial disinfectant, industrial sanitizer, and bleach/water solutions.
- Ability to work independently and follow specific, detailed instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
- Pass and maintain a clean background investigation suitable for work at a federal facility.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and submit to random screening during employment.
- Ability to climb stairs and remain on one’s feet for up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift at least 15 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors.
- Remove trash and other refuse.
- Dust furniture and fixtures.
- Polish metal fixtures and trimmings.
- Provide supplies and minor maintenance services.
- Clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas, common areas, offices, administrative areas, detention cells, conference rooms, elevators, and lobby and visitor areas.
