About The Position

Interstate is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Custodian to work at a client site. The role involves cleaning assigned areas and maintaining hard-surface and carpeted floors. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and a team player. The schedule is 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Sunday through Wednesday. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to bend and reach from the waist frequently.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, sanitize, and disinfect bathrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and replace trash can linings.
• Complete assigned cleaning areas satisfactorily and on time according to schedule.
• Maintain hard-surface and carpeted floors, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
