About The Position

The Custodian maintains cleanliness at the CDC Clifton location by completing manual labor associated with daily building cleaning. The position also involves various duties requiring moderate physical strength, including cleaning building interiors and exterior common areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.

Requirements

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and maintain a positive attitude while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, including using cleaning equipment necessary for daily duties.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a supervisor and coworkers.
• Ability to comply with the Federal vaccine mandate applicable to the contract site, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, sweep, and damp mop tile floors and stairwells.
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, and other surfaces above the floor.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Police common areas.
• Police around the building exterior.
