About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a Custodian to maintain cleanliness at the CDC Clifton location. The position involves daily building-cleaning duties and other tasks requiring moderate physical strength. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30329. The role operates under the AbilityOne Program and the Javits-Wagner-O’Day Act.

Requirements

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and maintain a positive attitude while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, including using cleaning equipment as needed for daily duties.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a supervisor and coworkers.
• Ability to comply with the Federal vaccine mandate for the contract site, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, sweep, and damp-mop tile floors and stairwells.
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, and other surfaces above the floor.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Police common areas.
• Police around the building exterior.
