About The Position
A janitor, cleaner, or custodian maintains a clean, organized, and disinfected facility by performing a variety of cleaning tasks. Work may include commercial cleaning in industries such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing. The position is with an independently owned and operated OpenWorks franchise; applications and hiring decisions are handled by the franchisee.
Requirements
- Be energetic, pleasant, and professional.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Recognize and understand safety requirements and meet company handbook expectations.
- Be able to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Perform work assignments as part of a team.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate professionally with managers, peers, and customers.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Support customer service and satisfaction.
- Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and restrooms.
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
- Maintain cleaning inventory and place orders for products when needed.
- Remove debris from sidewalks.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
