About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the facility or plant and providing assistance where needed. The role includes cleaning and maintaining production areas and facilities, performing basic routine equipment and facility upkeep, and communicating with other departments to assist with production. The associate will be cross-trained in multiple areas to help as needed.

The position pays $18 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work takes place in normal manufacturing conditions and requires comfort working around chemicals and cleaning products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort working around chemicals and other cleaning products.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Comfort working independently.
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks to the best of their ability under little or no supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Use required safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats; loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Provide light maintenance to equipment.
• Move product as needed to facilitate production processes.
• Perform daily equipment upkeep and safety inspections.
• Keep production areas and facilities clean and neat.
• Perform basic routine maintenance on equipment.
• Perform basic routine upkeep on facilities.
• Communicate with other departments to assist with production.
• Be cross-trained in multiple areas to help as needed.
