About The Position
Employees in this class work under close supervision. The role involves cleaning and maintaining public areas of academic and administrative buildings, medical facilities, residence halls, and apartments; assisting with assigned grounds maintenance; and completing assigned cleaning duties. The employee must be able to work any shift, and overtime will be required as necessary. The job summary describes the general nature and level of work and is not a complete list of duties; management may revise the job or assign different tasks. Requirements
- Successful completion of eighth grade.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.
- Understanding and use of materials and equipment used in custodial work.
- Ability to follow simple instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to perform light to heavy manual labor.
- Must be able to work any shift; overtime will be required as necessary.
- Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check.
