About The Position

Kwik Trip is hiring a full-time, second-shift Custodian for its La Crosse, Wisconsin campus. The role is part of the Campus Administration/Environmental Services team and helps keep the campus clean, safe, and welcoming. The position is hands-on and active, involves working independently as well as with a team, and includes travel between campus buildings. Uniforms are provided. Previous custodial experience is helpful but not required; the employer is seeking someone dependable who takes pride in their work and is willing to learn.

Schedules listed are Sunday 3:30 PM–11:30 PM and Monday–Thursday 4:30 PM–12:30 AM, or Monday–Friday 5:30 PM–12:30 AM. Starting pay is listed as $18.50 per hour plus a $2.00 second-shift premium and a $2.00 weekend premium for the first schedule, and $19.50 per hour plus a $2.00 second-shift premium and a $2.00 weekend premium for the second schedule. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Be dependable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented.
• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and staying active throughout the shift.
• Be willing to learn and follow cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Be comfortable using basic computer and email functions.
• Have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, common areas, offices, and other campus spaces.
• Vacuum, dust, wash, and clean a variety of surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling and refill dispensers.
• Operate cleaning and sanitation equipment.
• Assist with light maintenance and seasonal projects.
• Travel between buildings throughout the La Crosse campus.
• Help wherever needed to keep facilities looking their best.
