About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Custodian to maintain housekeeping throughout the plant and offices, as well as outside parking lots, loading and unloading areas, lawns, and walkways. The role involves routine cleaning and groundskeeping, handling and transporting cleaning supplies and equipment, and working around moving mechanical parts. The position requires occasional lifting or moving of up to 75 pounds and a range of physical activities, including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally climbing or balancing. Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally climb or balance.
Close and distance vision.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts; occasionally work in high places, outside in weather, and around fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Dependability and pride in one's work are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, hot wash, vacuum, and periodically wax floors.
Wash walls and inside windows.
Clean offices, move furniture, gather and dispose of trash, and clean light fixtures, window tops, and ledges.
Clean overhead areas such as pipes and machinery using compressed air hoses or cloths.
Pick up litter, sweep, and perform general groundskeeping around the plant, parking lot, lawns, and walkways.
Assemble and transport cleaning supplies and equipment to designated areas.
