About The Position

The Custodian performs specialized, heavy-duty upkeep to help keep the William Peace College campus clean, attractive, and safe. The role includes routine cleaning, pressure washing, waste removal, moving furniture, and assisting with event setups and breakdowns. The employee also uses a campus golf cart to transport tools and materials.

The position is located at William Peace College, 15 E. Peace St, Raleigh. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with adjusted summer hours. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional cleaning, utility, or floor-care experience.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate on-site golf carts.
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong physical endurance.
• Great attendance and adaptability for the standard evening shift and adjusted summer hours.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop stairwells; scrub floors; dust and vacuum; clean restrooms.
• Empty indoor and outdoor trash receptacles around campus.
• Pressure wash buildings, concrete walkways, storm drains, and ditches.
• Move furniture and help with event setups and breakdowns.
• Safely operate a campus golf cart to transport tools and materials.
