About The Position

HES Facilities Management is hiring custodians for educational facilities. Openings include part-time positions from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, as-needed floater positions across all shifts, and full-time second-shift positions from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The work is physically demanding and fast-paced, and requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.

Requirements

• Have an excellent work history.
• Work well with others and take direction.
• Work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Pass a required background check.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
• Be able to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
• Have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within company production and service time frames.
• Be able to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree (preferred but not required).
• Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum.
• Extract carpet and strip and wax floors.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Polish the outside area within 10 feet of entryways.
• Wash windows and remove snow and ice.
• Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or the supervisor’s designated representative.
