About The Position

RNA Facilities Management is seeking an energetic janitor to maintain a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. The role requires some cleaning experience and basic knowledge of cleaning products. Schedules offered are Monday through Friday, 5 PM–8 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 4 PM–10 PM; or Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM–3 PM. This is a part-time position in Troy, Michigan.

Requirements

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work well when supervisors are not present.
• Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to use basic cleaning equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Some cleaning experience.
• Basic knowledge of various cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Clean the building and keep it maintained and in good condition.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean spills using appropriate equipment.
• Perform minor repairs and notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
