About The Position
The Cottages is a small, home-like senior living community focused on helping seniors live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Caregivers provide attentive, compassionate support and companionship while contributing to residents’ quality of life. Experience is preferred but not required; industry-leading training is provided, and employees are encouraged to learn, grow, and advance within the company. The schedule offers full-time or part-time AM and PM shifts.
Requirements
- A compassionate attitude and sincere desire to help others.
- Ability to take direction, follow rules exactly, and be proactive and thoughtful.
- Successful completion of a criminal history check.
- Pass a post-offer drug test.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Qualities sought include care and compassion, reliability, dependability, maturity, agility, sincerity, timeliness, trustworthiness, and loyalty.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with hygiene and grooming, including bathing and dressing.
- Provide medication assistance and Med Tech support.
- Monitor residents and provide safety supervision.
- Prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Assist residents with ambulation and mobility.
- Do laundry.
- Provide joyful companionship.
