About The Position

Interstate, a family-owned janitorial and maintenance company, is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Custodian to work at a client site. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to contribute as part of a team. The role supports clean, healthy, and safe environments across client facilities. The schedule is 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Sunday through Wednesday, and pay is $17.00 per hour. The job specification may be modified and may include other duties related to the position.

Requirements

• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Able to bend and reach from the waist frequently.
• Reliable transportation.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, sanitize, and disinfect bathrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and replace trash can linings.
• Complete assigned cleaning areas satisfactorily and on time according to schedule.
• Maintain hard-surface floors and carpets, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
