About The Position
The Custodian maintains JRCH buildings and surrounding facilities in an orderly condition while providing customer service to internal and external guests. The role completes daily work assigned by the supervision team and follows departmental policies and procedures. The employee is expected to arrive at the assigned work area on time and prepared for the shift with the necessary tools and information, and to communicate daily with management about needs or questions. The work environment is not smoke-free; despite state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is present.
Requirements
- One month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, dust, polish, and vacuum gaming areas, restrooms, offices, hallways, stairs, food areas, the event/bingo hall, break areas, shops, and LOLC.
- Empty and clean ashtrays.
- Clean and maintain restrooms and restock supplies as needed.
- Clean windows and mirrors.
- Clear debris from sidewalks and casino entrance areas.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Deliver and change 5-gallon water bottles.
- Perform biohazard cleanups.
- Remove gum from carpets, tile, and the bottoms of tables and chairs.
- Perform regular carpet maintenance, including addressing spills and tears.
- Clean and maintain elevators and escalators.
- Immediately report safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
