About The Position

This full-time position is responsible for custodial maintenance of assigned Chattahoochee Technical College buildings and facilities. Employment is with the college, not an individual campus, and employees may be relocated based on college needs. Duties include cleaning interior spaces and entrances, performing assigned lawn maintenance, maintaining tools and equipment and cleaning-supply inventory, and processing laundry, including cleaning rugs. Other duties may include moving or installing furniture, securing buildings and cleaning supplies, and promoting workplace safety and environmental practices. Requirements

No experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, a valid Georgia driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Responsibilities

Clean restrooms, classrooms, laboratories, offices, hallways, entranceways, and stairways.
Sweep, mop, dust, wax, and vacuum floors.
Remove cobwebs from surfaces; clean blinds and windowsills; and dust furniture and fixtures.
May change light bulbs for lamps.
Perform lawn maintenance as assigned.
Sweep and dust front entrances.
Maintain tools and equipment.
Maintain cleaning-supply inventory.
Process laundry, including cleaning rugs.
May install or move furniture.
Lock doors and secure cleaning supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
