About The Position

Ultra-Poly Corporation is hiring a Custodian to join its Facilities Department in Portland, Pennsylvania. This is an immediate, full-time day-shift position. The Custodian performs cleaning and organization across facility offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, and other areas; maintains the external shipping dock; replenishes janitorial supplies; and assists with basic facilities maintenance. The role also involves emptying mini dumpsters using a forklift and shoveling snow from steps and walkways. Employees are responsible for following all safety protocols.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18, eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, able to read, write, and understand English, and able to pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen. The employee must obtain a forklift certification and meet the stated physical qualifications.

Requirements

• Prior experience in industrial cleaning, basic facilities maintenance, or custodial work is preferred.
• Be a self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
• Have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and demonstrate good attendance.
• Pass and obtain a forklift certification.
• Be able to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand for extended periods and lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach.
• Be able to work in both hot and cold conditions.
• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed.
• Pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize facility offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, and other areas.
• Maintain a clean external shipping dock area.
• Restock and replace janitorial supplies throughout the facility.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance.
• Empty mini dumpsters using a forklift.
• Shovel snow on steps and walkways around assigned buildings.
• Execute all safety protocols.
