About The Position

Performs assigned custodial duties in an indoor setting. The role includes cleaning sites, assisting with supplies and equipment, monitoring supply inventory, reporting problems with work duties or equipment, and completing other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• At least six months of prior porter cleaning experience or completion of the ACCES–VR porter training program.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
• Ability to understand instructions given by the supervisor.
• Some training in the use of commercial cleaning equipment.
• Experience in carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Must have a qualified NYS driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Assists in moving supplies and equipment as needed.
• Notifies the supervisor of problems or difficulties performing job duties.
• Monitors supply inventory and notifies the team leader when replenishment is needed.
• Notifies the team leader when equipment is not working properly.
• Performs additional related duties as requested by the supervisor.
