About The Position
This position cleans and maintains buildings and grounds to ensure they remain neat and clean on a daily basis. Work is performed in a normal office environment, with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
Requirements
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work.
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
- Six months of experience performing general housekeeping duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks and toilets; polish mirrors and replenish supplies.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors, and sweep sidewalks.
- Clean windows and dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean the kitchen and dining area; wash dishes; clean and defrost the refrigerator; and clean stoves and ovens.
- Stock and sort pantry items.
- Wash, fold, and store laundry and linens.
