About The Position

The Custodian performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas of the school building, assists with cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and the cafeteria, and carries out minor repairs and routine maintenance. The role also maintains an orderly supply closet and ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. The custodian assists in identifying safety hazards around the school and reports deficiencies to the property manager. Other related tasks may be assigned. Compensation is $15.64–$21.78 per hour, and the position is at least 16 hours per week.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the school clean and orderly.
• Ability to continuously stand and walk.
• Ability to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
