About The Position

The Custodian maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall appearance of company buildings and surrounding work areas. The role performs routine custodial duties, minor facility upkeep, and cleaning tasks to provide a safe and professional environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in maintaining a clean facility.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and cleaning instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily custodial cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entryways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors throughout facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling containers throughout the property.
• Restock paper products, soap, and sanitation supplies.
• Dust furniture, vents, ledges, equipment, and other surfaces.
• Clean interior and exterior windows, doors, and glass surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of stairwells, storage rooms, and warehouse/work areas.
• Operate custodial equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Perform routine deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or company activities.
• Monitor facility cleanliness and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and custodial supplies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management when repairs or replacements are needed.
• Help maintain exterior cleanliness, including sidewalks, entrances, and outdoor trash removal.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
