About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean and hazard-free office and production areas. The role includes cleaning break rooms, restrooms, offices, and production spaces; disposing of trash; operating a cardboard compactor; and assisting with safety painting and striping when required. The Custodian is expected to maintain good housekeeping practices with an emphasis on safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of custodial experience.
• Ability to operate a tow motor; certification is required after training.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to carry out instructions effectively with little supervision.
• Ability to handle problems involving variables in the schedule.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean the break room by wiping tables, picking up trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Clean restrooms in plant and office areas.
• Clean office areas by sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
• Empty the dumpster and trash cans as needed.
• Clean and sweep around buildings on the track.
• Sweep around saws, tables, and production areas.
• Operate the cardboard compactor.
• Assist with safety painting and striping when required.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices with an emphasis on safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
