About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, commercial cleaning, and general maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial duties in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the functionality of building systems.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain supplies in storage areas.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
