Custodian
About The Position
Under direct supervision, the Custodian performs routine cleaning work in the District’s schools, offices, and other facilities, as well as related work as required. This is an entry-level position in the custodial classification and may be part-time. Positions are typically assigned to swing and/or night shifts and may include weekend schedules. The position is listed as 12 work months, with a schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. The hourly salary range is $21.33 to $25.97. A 5% shift differential is provided when the workday begins between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. The District describes itself as a growing public school district focused on retaining excellent staff who represent the communities it serves. Requirements
- One year of experience in custodial work.
- Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Upon a conditional offer, complete a DOJ and FBI criminal background check.
- Upon a conditional offer, provide a TB test completed within the last 60 days.
- Upon a conditional offer, complete District-mandated training, including Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training.
- Upon a conditional offer, complete a pre-employment physical evaluation conducted through the District; the listed minimum is 50 pounds.
