About The Position

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department is seeking a Custodian at the Chandler Center for the Arts. This is a regular full-time position with benefits, scheduled Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and subject to a six-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will remain active for four months in case another position becomes available. The Building and Facilities Division has 20 positions, including technicians, support staff, and management. It supports 70 multi-use buildings totaling more than one million square feet across more than 65 square miles. The division describes itself as progressive and innovative, focused on meeting customer needs, delivering quality services, and supporting the City of Chandler’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The City will conduct a pre-employment driving record check, and an employment offer is contingent on acceptable results. Applicants hired must be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment. The City’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy applies; recreational marijuana use violates the policy, and certain positions require pre-employment drug testing. A positive result for drugs tested under the policy may result in withdrawal of an offer. The examination process may vary if necessary. The City is committed to Equal Opportunity and Reasonable Accommodation.
