About The Position

Spurwink is hiring a full-time Custodian for Glickman Academy Day Treatment School. The role performs custodial duties and light maintenance within the employee’s skill level and capabilities. Work is assigned by the program director and may include light maintenance, arranging or ensuring snow and ice removal as needed, recommending repairs to the program director, and coordinating work orders. Because the Custodian works in the company of Spurwink clients, the employee is expected to serve as a positive role model and maintain appropriate attire.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Referenced ability to perform custodial and light maintenance functions.
Ability to perform custodial activities, including going up and down stairs, bending and lifting, and carrying objects, materials, and tools.
Current Maine driver’s license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink’s Driving Policy.

Responsibilities

Perform custodial duties at Glickman Academy Day Treatment School.
Perform light maintenance within the employee’s skill level and capabilities.
Provide or ensure snow and ice removal as needed.
Recommend repairs to the program director and coordinate work orders.
Serve as a positive role model for clients and maintain appropriate attire.
