About The Position

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. They perform a range of cleaning duties to maintain the facility’s daily upkeep and cleanliness. The position is part-time and offers the following schedules: Monday–Friday, 6:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., or Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m. The role reports to the Site Supervisor. Relocation is not provided, and travel is not required.

Requirements

• Excellent work history.
• Team-focused approach, with the ability to work with others and take direction.
• Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Background check required.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
• Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within established production and service time frames.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
• High school diploma or equivalent is listed in the education requirements.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
• Extract carpets and strip and wax floors.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Polish the outside area within 10 feet of entryways.
• Wash windows and remove snow and ice.
• Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.
