About The Position

The Custodian maintains appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role cleans facility spaces and grounds and performs general maintenance throughout the facility, including warehouse and freezer areas. The position may also involve operating machinery and material handling equipment. The schedule is Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour, based on experience. The role requires working in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or dry storage temperatures up to 100°F/37°C, as applicable, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. The position may involve loud noise and flexible scheduling, including weekends if needed. Requirements

Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working with various noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including warehouse and freezer areas.
Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition and properly secured after use, and maintain stock levels through routine stock checks, as needed.
Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
