About The Position

The Custodian maintains the premises of the building to ensure they are clean and orderly, performs minor and routine building maintenance, and maintains the grounds. The role includes cleaning interior spaces and exterior areas, replacing light bulbs and filters, maintaining the lawn and shrubbery, and setting up rooms for conferences, lectures, and special events. The work takes place both inside garage, shop, or gas plant conditions and outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, and humidity.

Requirements

• 6 months of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash, including picking up trash in the parking lot and around the exterior of the building.
• Clean restrooms daily and maintain hand towels, tissues, and soap.
• Sweep, wet mop, and spray buff tile floors.
• Vacuum carpets, furniture, drapes, and other fabrics.
• Maintain stairwells, including cleaning and polishing handrails.
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork, and furniture.
• Dust and clean air/return vents and change filters.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Maintain the lawn and trim shrubbery.
• Set up rooms for conferences, lectures, and special events.
