About The Position

Pritchard Industries is seeking a Custodian for the South Plainfield School District. The Custodian performs building maintenance and cleaning tasks to help ensure the building and facilities are healthy, safe, and sanitary. Duties include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping floors, removing trash, cleaning restrooms and break rooms, and other miscellaneous maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has a professional attitude and appearance and is self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The role pays $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Able to follow instructions from a supervisor and complete tasks effectively.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to use an auto scrubber machine.
• Professional attitude and appearance; self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience; training is available.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
