About The Position

Under general supervision, cleans and maintains the general appearance and cleanliness of City facilities and amenities. At the Aquatic and Fitness Center, performs custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning offices, public areas, locker rooms, shower rooms, and restrooms. This is a year-round position with work hours of up to 32 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday day shifts or Thursday to Sunday night shifts. Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school graduate, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to learn and utilize new skills in custodial work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, and copier.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to lift and/or carry weights of 10 to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the appearance and cleanliness of City facilities and amenities.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish areas at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
• Clean offices, public areas, locker rooms, shower rooms, and restrooms.
• Perform related duties as required.
