About The Position

The Pastorate of St. Michael / St. Clement in Baltimore, Maryland, seeks a Custodian to help oversee and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of parish buildings and property. The position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and collaborates with other facilities staff. The Custodian must be available to respond to on-call emergencies. This is a part-time, 12-month position working 9 hours per week. Pay is $17.00 per hour. This position is not benefit eligible.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Maryland driver's license with no more than 3 points.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Practicing Catholic.
• Knowledge of safety standards for use of cleaning equipment and products.

Responsibilities

• Clean the church, parish office, community spaces, and mission buildings.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors as needed.
• Wash walls and windows and remove dust and debris as needed.
• Select cleaning equipment and materials and replenish supplies in buildings as needed.
• Remove trash from inside buildings and from the grounds.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters and bulbs.
• Be available to respond to on-call emergencies.
