About The Position

Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is hiring a full-time Custodian in its Housekeeping department. The position focuses primarily on general custodial duties throughout the resort-style campus and offers the opportunity to work as part of a team serving seniors. The minimum starting salary is $20.30 per hour, depending on experience. No experience is necessary.

Requirements

Be patient, tactful, and flexible when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff members, and the general public.
Be willing to perform a variety of tasks.
Be a resourceful problem solver.
Adhere to Touchmark Gold Standards of behavior and performance, including Excellence, Teamwork, Hospitality, Integrity, and Compassion.
Be able to work holidays and weekends.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
Be willing to continue learning and improving skills, and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, team members, and guests.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Be at least 18 years old.
Pass a drug test and background test.

Prior experience is ideal, although it is not necessary.

Responsibilities

Operate the equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Perform custodial duties in accordance with Touchmark Gold Standards.
Notify a supervisor or management team when repairs are needed.
Keep the supervisor informed about changes in equipment performance and supply needs.
Maintain a clean environment and a healthy atmosphere for residents, guests, and team members.
