About The Position
The Custodian keeps the premises of office buildings, dormitories, classroom buildings and other associated university buildings clean and in an orderly position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able read, speak and understand English
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to meet the University’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards for authorized drivers

- Previous custodial or housekeeping experience in a similar role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, surfaces and trim
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms corridors and offices
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes flooring
- Cleans rugs, carpets, furniture and draperies/blinds
- Washes walls, ceilings and woodwork
- Empties trash and transports waste to disposal area
- Replenishes bathroom supplies
