Temporary Custodian (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
Perform various cleaning duties in assigned areas of district buildings or schools in accordance with county health department standards and standards established by the Custodial Services Department. This temporary position is for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year and will end on June 30, 2027. The position is located at Collier Elementary School in the Tanque Verde and Bear Canyon area. It is a 1.0 FTE role, working 8 hours per day on a 12-month calendar during the PM shift. The district's posted rates include increases funded through a community-approved override guaranteed through June 2031. Positions under 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. Salary information is available on the Employee Agreements webpage.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of custodial experience.
- Speak, read, and write in English.
- Comprehend graphic and oral instructions in English.
- Complete an FBI fingerprint background check before starting.
- Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization, before starting.
- Complete a post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50-pound lift test before starting.
- Complete mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training before starting.
