About The Position

The Custodian maintains the cleanliness of restrooms and other areas of the Hope Bargain Center. This part-time position offers between 20 and 25 hours per week and reports to the Store Manager. The ideal candidate has cleaning experience and can complete most tasks before the store opens. The role is in a faith-based, healthy, intentional work environment and includes representing a Christian organization and helping maintain a faith-based, healthy, healing community and code of conduct. Duties listed are illustrative and may be supplemented or superseded by direction from the supervisor.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good work ethic.
• Availability to complete the majority of tasks before the store opens.

Nice To Haves

• Proven working experience as a janitor; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Represent a Christian organization.
• Get along well with others from varied backgrounds.
• Assist in maintaining an intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community and code of conduct.
