About The Position

The Custodian - Sweeper provides limited custodial services at an assigned site, helping maintain an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role performs limited cleaning operations and assists in preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events. This is a morning sweeper position at Pleasant Grove High, scheduled for four hours per day. It is non-contract and offers no benefits. The hourly rate is $13.64–$16.74, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site snow removal to ensure access and safety for students, staff, and visitors.
• Clean assigned facilities and grounds, including classrooms, offices, gyms, restrooms, and multipurpose rooms, to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Prepare the site for daily operations, such as opening gates, raising flags, and sweeping walkways, to ensure facilities are operational and hazard-free.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies, such as paper towels and soap, to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
• Secure facilities and grounds, including doors, gates, alarms, and lights, to minimize property damage, equipment loss, and potential liability.
• Support other site maintenance staff, including grounds and trades staff, in completing custodial activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
