About The Position

Otsego Public Schools is hiring a full-time custodian for a second-shift assignment at a district building or floating between buildings. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00–10:30 p.m., with Saturdays required to provide custodial service at district events. The position is scheduled to start in the 2026–27 school year and pays $16.44 as a starting rate.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Background check and fingerprinting upon hire.

• Experience with cleaning and custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms daily, including emptying trash, sweeping or vacuuming, spot mopping, and locking doors and windows.
• Clean restrooms daily, including disinfecting fixtures, emptying trash, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
• Clean hallways daily, including picking up and emptying trash, sweeping or vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
• Provide custodial service at district events on Saturdays.
