About The Position

ABM is seeking a responsible and experienced Custodial Supervisor to lead cleaning operations across school facilities. The role ensures classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas are clean, safe, and ready for students and staff. The supervisor manages and supports a custodial team, assigns tasks, and ensures work meets health and safety standards. The position pays $23.00 per hour; specific offers may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. The scheduled shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM EST.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in custodial services, preferably in a campus or large-facility environment.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, tools, and safety guidelines.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods, up to the entirety of the shift.
Ability to respond quickly to urgent cleaning or maintenance needs.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling.
Bilingual ability, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support custodial staff on a daily basis.
Assign cleaning tasks and ensure all areas of the property are properly maintained.
Train and mentor custodial team members, promoting excellence and efficiency.
Conduct routine inspections, maintain cleanliness, and address issues promptly.
Manage cleaning supply and equipment inventory, ensuring proper use and storage.
Quickly respond to and resolve custodial cleanliness or production issues.
Communicate with site leadership and other departments as needed.
Ensure safety procedures are followed when using cleaning products and equipment.
Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance evaluations.
Perform custodial work when extra support is needed or in emergencies.
