About The Position
This position at Clarks Summit State Hospital gives you the chance to help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will support infection control efforts, follow essential safety procedures, and contribute to daily facility operations. This position focuses on maintaining sanitation standards, supporting infection control, and ensuring safe housekeeping practices throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Wash floors
- Dust furniture
- Clean restrooms
- Remove snow from entrance areas
- Operate floor care tools
- Perform minor maintenance and repair on cleaning equipment
- Move supplies, equipment, linen, and carts to designated areas
- Use chemicals properly
- Follow safety procedures
- Report hazardous conditions
- Read and follow written and oral directions for cleaning tasks and equipment use
- Check assigned areas for cleanliness and determine what must be addressed
