Requirements
- Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient assessments and recommend nutrition plans based on medical, dietary, and observational data
- Participate in treatment team discussions and provide nutrition guidance to staff during meetings and orientations
- Evaluate and update therapeutic and regular menus while maintaining accurate patient diet information in the database
- Assist in performance improvement efforts involving diet accuracy, nutrition outcomes, and policy updates
- Stay current on nutrition standards through continuing education and support departmental learning activities
