Requirements
- Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
- Must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed psychiatric examinations, establish diagnoses, and guide treatment decisions
- Develop individualized plans, lead team meetings, and coordinate interdisciplinary input
- Manage psychiatric and medical emergencies, direct interventions, and ensure safe resolution
- Prepare reports, progress notes, treatment reviews, summaries, and competency assessments
- Work with clinical staff, mentor students, support certified registered nurse practitioners, and attend assigned meetings
- Maintain licenses, certifications, documentation standards, and meet all agency mandates
