About The Position

Central Regional Hospital is recruiting for a Clinical Dietitian. The primary purpose of the Clinical Dietitian is to coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as education and counseling of hospitalized patients as indicated.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in foods and nutrition or a related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); OR Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, dietetics, or related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and two years of experience in a clinical dietary setting.

  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of evidence-based nutrition therapy with the ability to apply knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of current trends and professional practices in Clinical Dietetics.
  • Ability to assess, plan, counsel and direct nutrition care based on accepted principles and practices of nutrition and dietetics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with patients, peers, other Nutrition Services staff, and medical treatment team members.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and techniques for effective behavior changes.
  • Skills in writing clear, concise entries using established medical record procedures for care plans and progress notes in patients’ medical records.
